1). - WHO WAS THE ARCHANGEL CALLED – MICHAEL? Revelation 12:7 says, “And there was war in heaven: MICHAEL and his angels fought against the dragon; and he dragon fought and his angels.” Jude 1:9 says, “Yet MICHAEL the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, “THE LORD REBUKE THEE.” Daniel 12:1 says, “And at that time shall MICHAEL stand up, THE GREAT PRINCE which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time; and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.” SUMMARY OF THE THREE VERSES ABOVE: 1. Michael is the archangel that led His angels in the fight in heaven against the devil and his angels. 2. Michael disputed against the devil about the body of Moses. 3. Michael is “THE GREAT PRINCE” who will deliver His people at the time of trouble. JESUS was also called: “THE PRINCE OF PEACE” – (Isaiah 9:6). Thus, MICHAEL refers to JESUS.
