1:00 PM NEWS: President Museveni has congratulated the leaders of the South Sudan political Party, the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM), for signing a reunification agreement. President Salva Kiir of South Sudan signed on behalf of SPLM in Government, Riek Machar signed for the SPLM in the Opposition and Deng Alor Kuol signed for the SPLM former detainees. Teachers have marched from the Uganda National Teachers Union (UNATU) headquarters in Kampala to the ministry of education to meet the education minister, Jessica Alupo. Teachers dismiss claims that the Microfinance Support Centre Ltd (MFSC) released sh500m and sh140m to the Mukono-Kayunga and Luweero teachers’ SACCOs.
