1.6 RENAULT CLIO AUTOMATIC 1999 SPARES OR REPAIRS!! Recent full service. Cambelt and water pump replaced this year (about 1000 miles ago or less) clean MOT until March 2015. Good condition inside and out. Very low mileage for age as shown in picture. Very well maintained car only 2 previous owners from new only brought the car a year ago. However early this month car lost 1st and 2nd gears. My mechanic then put a reconditioned gearbox into it and it was fine for 2 weeks. (Still have original gearbox) But it has now lost all gears. He suspects the torque converter. We have got a 2nd hand torque converter to replace the old one. Also the exhaust flexi has completely broken and has temporarily being supported. Steering wheel needs to be straightened back up but this can be done when the subframe is off whilst fixing the gearbox. All this is fixable but due to work commitments am unable to carry out the work. This car is ideal for someone who is looking for a project car to do up and has the space to store. Once fixed would be an ideal runaround or first car.
