1 Corinthian 3:18-23 No one should fool himself. If ayone among you thinks that he is wise by this world’s standards, he should become a fool, in order to be really wise. For what this world considers to be wisdom is nonsense in God’s sight. As the scripture says, “God traps the wise in their cleverness” and another scripture says, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are worthless”. No one then, should boast about what men can do. Actually everything belongs to you: Paul, Apollos and Peter, this world, life and death, the present and the future—all these are yours, and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God. (Huwag dayain ninuman ang kayang sarili. Kung may nag-aakalang siya’y marunong ayon sa sanlibutang ito, ibilang niyang siya’y mangmang upang maging tunay na marunong. Sapagkat ang karunungan ng sanlibutang ito ay kamangmangan sa paningin ng Diyos. Ganito ang sinasabi sa Kasulatan, “Hinuhuli niya ang marurunong sa kanila na ring katusuhan.” Gayon din, “Alam ng Panginoon na ang iniisip ng marurunong ay walang kabuluhan. Kaya’t huwag ipagmalaki ninuman ang nagagawa ng tao. Ang lahat sa inyo: Si Pablo, si Apollos, at si Pedro; ang sanlibutang ito, ang buhay, ang kamatayan, ang kasalukuyan, at ang hinaharap—lahat ng ito’y sa inyo. At kayo’y kay Cristo, at si Cristo nama’y sa Diyos.)
