1 Corinthians 15:34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame. Its a choice. We wake up and decide who it is we will follow. Who it is that we will allow to influence us each day. Will it be the world around us that assists us is the descisions that we must make daily, or will it be the Holy Spirit? The descisions we make could be the very things that draw those that do not know GOD to Him. It is the world that shakes it fists aginst the creator when the poor go hungry. It is Gods genuine followers that with reach out and clothe and feed them. It is the world that awakes to someone that is not their spouse sleeping next to them. It is Gods genuine followers that will refrain from the carnality and sin the world has to offer. If when we awake to righteousness, and we plan on doing things Gods way. It is then that the day will go according to His plan. The joy will be a constant as we will already know, no matter what happens, HE is in control. Waking any other way allows the sin that is waiting at the door of our life, entrance into our day.
