1. EBOLA: Management adopts more sensitization and preventive measures The Management of the Polytechnic has continued in its quest to further enlighten as well as present more protective measures for all staff, students and all other members of the Polytechnic community, on the outbreak of the deadly Ebola Virus Disease (EVD). Efforts, which commenced through the training of health officials on the traits and treatments of the virus to the procurement of health equipment to safeguard workers from ‘possible contact’, amongst other health supplements, have now witnessed the pasting of campaign posters across the Polytechnic. By this development of circulating posters and leaflets around the campus to enlighten the Public of the Polytechnic, Management advices everyone to embrace the campaign and absorb the regulations guiding the prevention of the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD). Furthermore, members of the Polytechnic Community can visit the fortified Health Centre (Rabiatu Soaga Memorial Health Centre) for further information and enquiries on the development. 2. 2014/2015 NYSC Batch “C” Orientation Programme holds on Sept 11 The National Youth Service Corp Unit of the Polytechnic has concluded plans to host all full-time HNDII students (Potential Corp Members for Batch “C”) in a crucial orientation programme. The orientation programme, which will hold on Thursday, 11th September, 2014 is slated for the 800 Seater Hall at 12noon. This programme becomes expedient following the change in process for the mobilization of Corp members by the NYSC and other attending issues. All prospective Batch “C” Corp members are therefore enjoined to be part of the exercise.
