1) Godly sorrow? Or 2) Worldly sorrow? Godly sorrow is for them whose appointment with Death had been duly canceled of Christ death. It deserved a physical life of Christ effectively. Worldly sorrow is for them whose appointment with Death is uncanceled at large. It deserved to see physical life again only when all of them have been lifted up all@once from their appointment with Death (Heb9:28b). But sorrow or mourning is only true with the nations of God regardless if is Godly or worldly. 2 Cor 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. RESPECTIVE DIFFERENCES OF SORROW IN ACTION: A, B, C A) Godly sorrow is effectively at normal condition: It is a norm, a way of life in Christ. Matt 5:4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Rom 8:23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. B) Worldly sorrow is always late in action: It is not a norm, not a way of life in Christ mentality. Mat 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Rom 8:22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
