1. Govt is not at all spending huge amount on medical education... a) If at all govt spends 40 lacs on UG and 1 Cr on Pg how can Private medical colleges give medical education for max of 2.4 lacs per annum for PG s and 5.5 lacs per annum for UG s? Its no where near match for govts quotes... b)Just think for one minute... to spend that much amount what consumables are we using while study period? Anatomy- Dead bodies, histo slides, specimens, Biochem- Few reagents Physio - Our own blood and neubars chamber Pharma - Rabbit and its food Micro - Few slides, and reagents for Gm, ZN staining Patho - Slides and urine FM - Bones and dead bodies for PM Spm - OCP s, copper -t s, condoms etc ENT, OPTH, MED, PED, SUR, OBG, ORTH, RAD, PSY..... ... Only Cases, OTs , OP s and nothing else. Medical Education is expensive only to maintain HOSPITAL and not to maintain a mere medical college. Inference: Medical Education is apparently costly only because of our ignorance and existing demand. Because when some one says govt is spending one crore on you, you ll believe it- Ignorance. Some one bought MBBS seat for 60 lacs - its demand of MBBS. Medical education would have been much more costlier in the following scenario.... c) Govt is running general hospitals only for medical education and not for serving people d) Govt commits that its not their responsibility to provide medical facilities to public e) Govt is ready to close affliated hospital if that medical college has failed to get renewal from MCI for some reasons. IN ONE WAY TO SAY MEDICAL EDUCATION IS PURELY SITUATIONAL---- IF NO 100 FRACTURE CASES/ FEVER CASES CAOME TO YUOR HOSPITAL, YOU WILL GET EXPOSED TO ALL THOSE. IF BY CAHNCE IF WE DONOT GET EVEN ONE CASE GOVT IS NOT MAKING PATIENTS(WE CANT CREATE PATIENTS BY INJECTING VIRUS, OR MAKING AN RTA TO HAPPEN) FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE OF TEACHING MEDICAL STUDENTS SMALL COMPARISON WITH A GOVT ENG COLLEGE: i) buildings, faculty, labs, etc are all same as medical colleges ii) an asst/assco/ prof in an ENG college has no other job except teaching. where as in a medical college except Anat, Phy, Pharma & SPM all other dept . faculty simultaneously teach and provide treatment/ lab reports. iii) during summer holidays or vacations eng college faculty do almost nothing but n not a med coll faculty. iv) students of a medical college work with very low stipend and do a great job. *can any one perform 30-40 deliveries with a single DAG in one night duty in labor room ? or * can any one CMO manage around 100 emergency cases in one shift of casuality? Even in the absence of a medical college these cases have to be attended by a govt doctor for which govt got a superb replacement by name of Jr doctors. Final inference of point no. 1 ::: Medical Education is the cheapest professional course compared to all other as both students and faculty are doing great job!!! 2. Many doctors who have completed UG, PG are ready to join Govt service, but govt is not ready to take permanent posts for unknown reasons. many IIT ians are also flying abroad and working there. Its up to candidate s interest and capability to decide his working place. 3. To improve medical facilities govt has to fill vacancies through permanent posts and not through service obligation. IMP: In one way by repeatedly replacing doctors via service(because fresh MBBS graduate will work for one year and then replaced by a brand new house surgeon... ) govt is indirectly exposing fresh docs with limited knowledge every year on poor people. This will indirectly ruin medical and health care. ****Remedy to this- Abolish service, fill permanent posts and provide adequate training and equipment**** 4. This is not the way to serve poor people, as explained above. Finally Request to all medicos..... A) Educate yourself about facts Educate your friends, family, media who ever it may when time comes... C) Participate and give your support our APJUDA representative D) And finally Correct me if I am wrong.....
