1. Maanja – the beginning to the whole album is a new experience by itself. A super rendition by Anirudh with lovely Chennai tamil lyrics by Karky. The orchestration is fresh and makes you want to jive. Maanja is a sure shot new age superhit for sure. 4.5/5 2.Darling Dambakku – this song’s teaser was already a superhit with a million views. The full song is even better. Great singing by Sunidhi Chauhan and Benny. A song which makes you dance as well as feel the lovely melody in the music. Yet another winner for sure. 4.25 3.Un Vizhigalil – the song starts with a lovely chorus and goes into an evergreen carnatic violin piece.The feel of the singers Anirudh and Shruti Hassan is perfect and makes this classic melody my pick of the album. 4/5 4.Royapuram Peter – A very different approach to an introduction song indeed. Sivakarthikeyan and Paravai Muniamma compete with each other in this high energy song. Anirudhs fresh approach to an introduction song keeping in mind the audience works wonders. Another sureshot hit among the youth. Will be a super experience in the theatre. 4/5 5.Open the tasmac – the highly talked about song featuring Anirudh and Deva starts off with a bang. Great idea to bring back Deva with this song. His voice makes us want more. Anirudh’s rap in the middle makes us tap our feet. Open the tasmac will be an anthem in the state for sure. Kudos! 4.5/5 Verdict:Anirudh’s golden run gets bigger, better and stronger. His previous 4 albums- 3, Ethir Neechal, Vanakkam Chennai and VIP were all chartbusters but the hype that Maan Karate brought with it was massive. We can surely say that he has raised the bar, exceeded expectations and given an album for all age groups with Maan Karate. To sum up, Maan Karate is one of Anirudhs best albums and he cements his position yet again as the torch-bearer of new age Tamil Music.
