( 1 PETER 5: 5-7 Clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you ) Humility is the attitude that you are not too good to serve others, and you are not too great to stoop.Humble people today are mocked and step on . The world calls them weak and instead exalts pride, arrogance, and runaway egos. The message today is : Humility keeps priorities in proper order. It keeps you from being overwhelmed by your own circumstances and instead focuses your attention on GOD plans and purposes in those circumstances. It takes your focus off the immediate situation and helps you appreciate what the Lord is accomplishing behind the scenes. Humility also puts us on GODS timetable and not our own. As Peter says, “He may exalt you at the proper time” (1 PETER 5:6). What’s the proper time? His time, not ours. When will it be? When He has accomplished His purpose. My friends let me encourage you to get to know your loving Lord who you can cast your care on. You will learn to trust the one who loves you far more than anyone ever could remember, you can come to him as you are, and receive him as he is. So take everything that is bothering and weighing you down, and cast it on a kind and loving God! Trust me, GOD cares for the righteous.We dont need to defend ourselves when we understand the Bibles picture of humility, for we know who we are in Christ. We are able to be a peacemaker without needing to fight for our rights. We are able to walk humbly in the power of Gods Holy Spirit, not your own personal power Jesus gave us a good example of humility in action. Although he was humble, he was also strong.
