Someone handed a tiny pamphlet to me on the sidewalk yesterday. The cover read Fire Warning Of course, when you open it up, its a christian pamphlet warning you about hell... Why is it always FIRE! being employed as the choice tool of persuasion? Being raised in the bible belt, my entire life people have been pitching scenarios at me where, should I not behave in a particular manner, viewing the world only through the scope in which they view it through, it could result in me dying by FIRE! And most often, those kind urgings come with a tone of... Or you can do it your own mister smartypants way and your charred remains will be your own fault... then we can all rejoice and dance on your ashes to the I told you so song... or simply enjoy the gift of a guilt free indifference concerning your justifiable flaming demise... as we walk forever down streets of gold to our own awaiting mansions in the sky... each of us basking in that one extra little sunbeam that wasnt constipated by your steady presence... each of us thanking daily our kind and just master for gifting us your prolific absence... Oh yeah... have a blessed day
