1 Peter 2:21-24 For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps: “Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth”; who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. Here is a model of how we should interact with others, Christ never lied, or tried to manipulate anyone, he never bullied or pressured anyone to accept His views. He stated the facts and let them stand on their own, which by the way have stood tested and true for over 2000 years. Christ accepted voluntarily the penalty for all of our wrongdoing, connecting us to God as adopted brothers and sisters. We could not know salvation or true happiness without the suffering of Christ. Could you do what He did, die for someone who cursed you, spit in your face, and openly denied your existence? HE did, why because He loves you and HE does not want to see you suffer. Christ gave everything for you, wont you give Him your heart?
