1 Thessalonians 5:18 “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” Life can get us down. We experience hurt and anger. Loneliness, confusion, and frustration. We often throw our hands in the air and say, I am done. When drowning in defeat, close your eyes and find something to be thankful for. Yes, it can be difficult sometimes. Thank God for that little voice inside, for the blessing of friendship, and for people who smile big and hug hard. Here comes the hard part. Now think of the tough things in life and thank God for them as well. *The person who gets on our last nerve. (God, thank you for teaching me patience and understanding.) *Those dirty clothes, floors, and dishes. (God, thank you for teaching me humility.) *The pain, heartbreak, or near death illness we went through. (God, thank you for reminding me of what is important in life.) Tough times make us stronger and our faith bigger. “Thank Therapy” is tough, but it works. Can we go through life without being thankful? Yes, but we will grow bitter. Can we get rid of bitterness in our lives? Not a chance if we think we can pull it off by ourselves. Every chance in the world if we ask God to help us do it. Thank You, Lord. TammyWhitehurst
