1) Youre not financially stable because you have a good job with great benefits. 2) You will not get to your destination on time because your car has a great engine. 3) You are not in good health because you inherited great genes. 4) You are not safe because you live in one of the safest cities in America or the greatest superpower in the world. 5) Your investment isnt going to yield big because you have a solid portfolio and know the market well. 6) Your kids arent successful and healthy because your parenting model is the best. 7) Your house isnt safe from intrusion because you have a high gate or a new security system. 8) Your marriage isnt going well because you and your spouse are best friends and madly in love. 9) Your skin isnt youthful because you use the best moisturizers and stay out of the sun. 10) Your faith isnt strong because you are sincere and diligent in your worship. 11) Your Facebook, Twitter, and IG followers arent increasing because youre so clever, knowledgeable, popular, and amazing. 12) Your business isnt thriving because you have a fantastic business model and youre a great leader. These thoughts are all delusions from the nafs and shaitan to distract us and confuse us about the way the world works. We need to praise God much more than we praise ourselves or attribute our good fortunes to other people/sources. We must constantly separate the means from the Ultimate Source. Indeed, God and ONLY God is the source of all goodness in this life and the next. Alhamdulillah wa shukrlillah. May He make us more grateful, more mindful of His blessings and favors, and may we never tire of praising Him and worshipping Him for verily no one is more deserving of praise and gratitude.
