1 more sleep! To all at Belmont Baseball Club Another massive weekend coming up for our great club as we contest grand finals in the top four grades and play host to the Major League grand finals. Sadly, due to work commitments I won’t be there again this year but I can assure you that each and every one of you will be in my thoughts all weekend. For those who were unaware, this is the 24th consecutive year we have contested the first grade grand final and the 15th consecutive year that we have been in the season decider for the top three grades. Our club’s 60 year history extends well beyond that and tomorrow you each have the chance to etch a little piece of your own history into the annals of Belmont Baseball Club. Be proud of this fantastic achievement to date, but don’t be satisfied with it. We play all season to be part of one game, to win one game. There are no tomorrows, no excuses, no second chances. Go out there there this weekend and believe you are better than the bloke you are facing, prepare for every pitch and execute accordingly. Play with unshakable belief knowing you have done this all before, but with the focus, dedication and passion like this grand final could be your last. Play with pride and also respect for the jersey you have on your back. Most of all, enjoy every moment because I can assure you, they don’t last forever. To Tubby, Boppa, Junior, Packy and all the players, I wish you all the very best. To everyone who contributes off the field on Saturday, I have every confidence that you will all demonstrate why we are the premier club. Men, it’s grand final day. It’s what we do. WE ARE BELMONT.
