That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.In our Focal Scripture, some people described the trainee prophet as a mad fellow. That trainee prophet had instructions from Elisha, and when he was done with his assignment, he opened the door and fled; he had an extraordinary purpose and mandate, and he displayed an extraordinary behaviour that was mistaken for madness.That trainee prophet put in passion and energy into his assignment, he took his purpose so seriously, his approach and attitude to his purpose didn’t look ordinary, and some people who were unaware of his purpose mistook his briskness and zeal for madness.Friend, whats your attitude to your purpose and the assignments God has given you? Whats your attitude to the assignments youve been given by your employers, bosses, colleagues, contemporaries, etc?Today, take your purpose and every assignment God has given you seriously; go about your mission in an extraordinary manner; add passion and energy to whatsoever God has put in your hands; run your race in a way that sets you apart from the crowd.If people around you have not begun to wonder why you are so committed and dedicated, then maybe you are not committed and dedicated yet. If your seriousness in your purpose hasn’t yet been misconstrued for madness, then you may not have really started.If you are not passionate and serious with your purpose, you will be the greatest loser when the chips are down.
