1 year ago today, Ashley called me and told me that its time, my water just broke. It was the first time that I have been away from the house when she went into labor. I was only about 10 minutes from the house, but I still used the opportunity to turn on my flashers and speed down the back roads. By the time I got home, she was already beginning massive contractions. From her water breaking to birth, the total time was 1 hour and 16 minutes. It was an amazing blessing after the difficult delivery of baby #4. I will never forget her sitting in the tub, holding our beautiful little girl and saying, I cant believe I just had a baby, to which I responded, I cant believe you just had a baby either. It was that fast, and she was in such great shape! In fact, I thought I would have to catch the baby, as the midwives barely made it in time. Whew! But today, we celebrate birthday #1 of this beautiful little girl! Wow, how much has changed in such a short time. We are #blessedx5
