10/11/2014 - 10:30 PM - UPDATE Just got home from going to the movie with Melanie to see Gone Girl - wow, but good! Val had a good day. He had PT before I got there. They sure are getting an early start these days. We did arm exercises. He sat up in the wheelchair for several hours today. His CNA said that he ate all of his breakfast except the grits (they were watery - he like his thicker). He also had sausage. He had a good lunch - roast, carrots, roasted potatoes and roll. He ate almost all of it. I think he is liking this real food! Bret and Drew stopped by on their way to hunting camp. Later in the day, our neighbor, Chris came up for a visit. He and Val miss sitting with each other on our front porch. Hope theyll be able to do that again soon. We enjoyed watching the Dawgs play a great football game. Hope is resting peacefully tonight. Please keep us in your prayers. Lord, we praise you for you healing, loving hand that has been on us. Praying for continued progress.
