10/23/2014.......ZAMBOANGA CITY TOURISM NEWS by Tita Acuña: ZAMBOANGA CITY IS NO. 9 TOP DANGEROUS CITIES IN THE WORLD TO AVOID. For Zamboangueños, it pains to know our city is ranked no. 9 among the 12 most dangerous cities in the entire world. This was made known in one networking sites recently and our city officials are demanding that author of this article do the necessary correction coz this will put La Bella as a no mans land for foreigners. I have doubts weather those responsible conducted a well meaning research before the post was done, but i would also advise our city leaders to accept the positive effects of this issue. Meaning, bog down to more serious action as far as peace and order and other related aspects that will put us back on the world map as a tourist destination and safe for travel. ================ EDITORS NOTES: Our city officials led by Mayor SABEL are demanding that author Tessa Riley make the necessary corrections to her article. WHY? The truth hurts, but these inutile officials have to be realistic and stop living in total denial because Zamboanga City is, indeed, NOT SAFE as we speak.....
