10 LEPERS-SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT Luke 17: 16-19 16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. 17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? 18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. 19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole. If you know anything about leprosy in the bible, you know they were not welcome anywhere, accept among other lepers. The disease totally mutilates the body and can be contagious to some. Not only does it destroy your flesh, It destroys your life! It is law you announce UNCLEAN whenever you enter a society, for the safety of others. So you deal with shame and being shunned daily. But not in this case! The 10 lepers are calling out to Jesus for HELP! instead of crying out, UNCLEAN. And more amazingly.... HE LISTENS AND HE HELPS! He doesnt touch them, no fancy prayers, He sends them to the priest to be accepted back into society... And they go, all but one! Only one comes back to worship and say thank you. Only one! And Jesus makes him whole. Healed = no more disease Whole = no more disease and life restored completely! Now, substitute lepers with your addiction or group you now are part of since the destruction started your downfall. You know, The thing that made you unfit for normal society. When people started saying Now youre one of them! Now you dont fit in! Now you are an outcast! Its the NOW you deal with every day! Dont just go to Jesus to get fixed like most do. Dont just ask to return to normal! Go all the way and become whole, inside and out! Top to bottom! Clean and useable to God! He still heals leprosy and he still fixes lives. Cry out....HELP! And dont leave until you are whole!
