10. Ten. X. And how many other ways to write it. THIS IS IT. 1/10th of the way through my #100healthyhappydays Challenge. And heres what I suddenly noticed late last night. 1. I dont have near as much trouble getting up from the couch as I did 10 days ago. With so much lower body pain, stiffness, and upper body weakness and trying to protect my shoulders so as not to re-injure myself.... Its been an embarrassing dilemma and what others in better health can do in 1 second, takes me 30 seconds just to get up the courage and another 30 to Rock myself up and get enough momentum to stand up and then another 30 seconds to work out the stiffness and pain just to be able to move. AARRGGHHH! I am so grateful and praising The Lord this morning to tell you that late last night I noticed I was getting up and down so much quicker, not even thinking about it, and barely having any trouble at all moving immediately upon standing. That surprised me and this morning it was the same thing. So, THAT is a very HAPPY result of these 10 days already. I had gone as far as I could go and I had had ENOUGH!!!!!! 2. Yesterday I noticed my body was not overcome with fatigue and lethargy all day and that the brain fog I had been struggling through every day all year long, has lifted. I has become one of those daytime nappers and it was really bothering me! I bought very expensive high energy vitamins months ago and still couldnt seem to get enough sleep! Day or night. I tried increasing my iron and B vitamins and energy drinks and anything and everything I knew to try EXCEPT getting back on track nutritionally and physically..... Now HERES SOMETHING FOR YOU TO ASK YOURSELF AND ANSWER! I DOUBLE DOG DARE YOU! Why is it the only thing that really works is the last thing we often try when we know its the 1st thing we ought to be doing anyway? Because its hard? REALLY??????????Is it harder than the pain and missed opportunities and hours if not days, weeks, months, and years of life interrupted and lost because of self care neglect? Really? Is it harder to eat clean and lean and to move more than you sit than it is to deal with the pain physically, emotionally, spiritually, psychologically, and financially? Is it? It must be for us to put up with it as long as we do and until something unfortunate and irreversible happens and wakes us up and shakes us to our core and gets us to see the truth of it all.... Then we have to try to manage the aftermath! WHY! WHY! WHY! (Forgive me for that last line sounding like a reenactment of the great ice skater, Nancy Kerrigan after she had been attacked by Tanya Hardings hired hit man on ice) Honestly, is that what happens to us too? Do we attack ourselves and bring about our own downfall and then lay there crying WHY! WHY! WHY!!!!!!! Do we victimize our own self with neglect and abuse and misuse of this body God calls the temple of the Holy Spirit? God Forbid. Yet. Oh My God, its so true! We most certainly do! So, today! Before any further destruction of the precious gift of your body, mind, & spirit..... STOP!!!!! LOOK!!!! LISTEN!!!! What would YOU like to see changed in only 10 Days? Write it down! Speak it out! Comment here and tell your truth!!!!! Then start RIGHT NOW to go in reverse of what you have been doing and see where you are 10 days from now!!!!!! Post here on my FB under the 100 healthy happy days hashtag and let me know what and how you are doing. Just try it for 10 days! Do it. I am here to help you and I am proving its worth it. I am worth it. YOU ARE WORTH IT TOO! P.S. Todays photos are from my beautiful and refreshing walk this morning near my home in Nashville, TN. I am so blessed!!!!!
