Why we call our white cousins GRINGOS. awhile back there was a war between Texas y Mexico and there was a certain people of IRISH descent and they wanted to distinguish themselves from the rest of the riff raff fighting in the war. So they wore green coats to signify what contingency they were from and a Texican would say: Here come the Green Coats! and the Mexican counter part would say QUIEN? los grengoats y el amigo le pregunto QUIEN los grincots? and soon they were known to Mexicans as gringos! true story! nombe deveras.
