10. There are many Essential Oils you can diffuse or inhale throughout the day for an overall boost to your mood. The ones on the left are found in the Everyday Oils collection which comes in the Premium Starter Kit. On the right are just a select few of the many other choices. Young living has over 180 different oils and blends. For simplicity I will refer first to oils you can find in your starter kit since most of us have these oils already. For the more advanced crowd, I will mention others they might want to try. If you are new to oils, focus on the Everyday Oils because they are a wonderful and varied selection. It is a kit of the most popular oils and put together this way for a reason! When I need a boost of “pep” and clarity of mind, I’ll put a drop of Peppermint on my wrists and temples. My husband puts a drop in his tea after lunch at work and finds that it boosts his alertness enough that he has been able to cut down on coffee. Inhale or diffuse any of the following oils to give yourself a lift: -- Lemon and all the citrus oils promote positive emotions and mental clarity. -- Joy creates magnetic energy and brings happiness to the heart. (Properties of oils in this blend may soothe the endocrine system and balance hormones; relieve anxiety and tension; balance kidney and liver function; relax the body; aid the body in eliminating toxins; uplift emotions; reduce irritability and minimize nervousness; speed healing; and enhance the overall frequency of the cells of the body.)* -- En-R-Gee uplifts and energizes. (Properties of oils in this blend may help reduce mental fatigue, improve circulation, wake up the lymphatic system, support the adrenals, aid in memory, and stimulate the endocrine system.)* -- Envision encourages renewed faith in the future. -- Gratitude supports emotional and spiritual progress. -- Hope allows you to restore your faith by reconnecting with feelings of strength. -- Motivation promotes feelings of action and accomplishment. *Comments in parentheses are notes from the “Reference Guide for Essential Oils” by Connie and Alan Higley. I include this information for those who may interpret the Young Living product descriptions as vague and insubstantial. Young Living is bound by regulations that prevent them from making certain claims about their products. Thankfully we have reference guides to tell us why these oils are defined with such properties in a way that makes more sense. I encourage everyone who uses essential oils to purchase and familiarize themselves with a good reference guide. Many distributors give them away as incentives because they wish to re-invest in those who want to invest in knowledge for themselves. I recommend these reference guides: abundanthealth4u/Books_s/1.htm lifesciencepublishers/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=1024
