10 things may not know about me: 1. I am a science nerd. I love science. It excites me. What can I say? 2. I am certified to teach any science in VA, CA, and TX but teaching Biology, Physics, and Chemistry are my favorites. I also hold a National Teaching Certification (Teacher friends, you know this one is hard to come by). 3. I listen to NPR daily because I enjoy the cognitive stimulation provided by quality programing. I even trail run while listening to my favorite program Wait, Wait, Dont Tell Me!. Dont worry, I still rock-out to music stations too. Life is about balance. 4. I earned my 200-hour yoga certification three years ago and it was one of the best things I ever did for myself. 5. I work from home because I can. That does not mean that I dont work. It just means that I have selected a profession that does not require a commute or a time-clock. It still has as much value as a traditional profession. 6. I love being a Marine Corps Spouse. 7. I hate the long-term separations and countless moves that my family endures because of my husbands chosen career. It is not easy and anyone that tells you otherwise is lying. 8. I am an internal processor and am often quiet. When I speak I like to feel valued because I dont just speak to make noise. I speak to communicate an idea. 9. I am awful at sugar coating ideas. Consequently, I often sound blunt. Sorry! Even that sounded blunt. ;) 10. I have a very sarcastic sense of humor and nobody understands it as well as my best friend and love of my life, Wayne Phelps
