10 things that freak me out in an elevator... 1) Flickering light - when Im alone in it 2) The groaning sounds some elevator make, as if the cables are straining to pull it up/down and might snap at any moment... 3) The silence if I forgot to press a floor - sometimes it feels like im trapped in another dimension (and yes this is also when Im alone in it) 4) getting stuck in an elevator - this happened the day before, but luckily there was another person in there who used his key and pried the door open. I was almost hyperventilating and imagine that just a few minutes earlier and I might have been just alone in the elevator... 5) Getting into an empty elevator in a building Im sure theres no one (because today is a Sunday) to see that the floor that I need to go to is already lit up - hmmm... my vivid imagination is running wild 6) getting into an elevator late at night - Ive watched too much tv that too many things run through my mind at the same time 7)People squeezing into the elevator till the maximum weight - seriously? what if the cables snap??? and why do you all wanna be like sardines? Getting into an elevator with only one creepy looking man/ uncle - nothing happens, but still ive watched enough movies to know you can be killed in an elevator. 9) When someone enters the elevator last (a full one) and has no space to turn and look at the door so theyre looking into my eyes directly... - well, thats sufficiently awkward.. 10) Elevators that are used for loading things are creepy - like the one at work that I use sometimes. the walls are covered with paddings and they smell weird. they somehow block noises so when Im in there its like im in a void and suffocating - i bet im the only one who over-dramatize that, but I hate being in an elevator. the only reason i use elevators is because I hate taking stairs...but if theres escalator then bubhbye elevator...
