100% Pure Greenwash? No. New Zealand is a land of (still incredible beauty in the less damaged third of its land), yet its Government does appear more and more incompetent in terms of the environment, or do I mean competently obfuscating anything that will protect the environment? Just one example relating to a proposed dam (almost all dams in recent years have had huge side effects that were dismissed during the planning stages): It has a Minister-chosen Board of Inquiry without scientific expertise, a magically disappearing draft Department of Conservation submission, submitters who cannot complete expert evidence because they cannot access the site, a modelling system that is untested and no one is allowed to analyse (given commercial confidentiality), and a highly respected Scientific Crown Institute whose involvement in the project was terminated because its scientists objected to the accuracy of the data that it was being supplied.thestandard.org.nz/anatomy-nick-smith-fib/
