100 hours missing – Malaysia Airlines continues to challenge science Published on : Thursday, March 13, 2014 mh-370As the tug of war continues between science and nature, the mystery behind the missing Boeing aircraft operated by Malaysia Airlines still remains undercover. More than 9 countries and their most efficient defense systems are employed to hunt the remains of the Malaysia Airlines flight for the last 100 hours and yet there is no solid theory that will console the families of the passengers onboard. Beijing bound Malaysia Airlines flight from Kuala Lumpur on went missing mysteriously on Saturday and even after rigorous drills by air force, navy and the recently deployed satellites – the search operation could not file a solid report. Is it a defeat of science or a threat from nature? An old saying by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, “Our ideas must be as broad as Nature if they are to interpret Nature”. The search areas are expanding, the ideas and speculations are gaining more fictitious angles and the families are slowly getting emotionally numb. The media is writing stories to entertain readers worldwide, however, like times immemorial nature continues to test the hapless mankind and their so called strong technology. Recent developments reveal, a Chinese satellite probing the mysterious disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 “observed a suspected crash area at sea,” a Chinese government agency said — a potentially pivotal lead into what thus far has been a frustrating, fruitless search. In a recent tweet from Reuters India (@ReutersIndia), the news came that the Vietnam search found no wreckage at the location where the China satellite showed possible plane debris. So, the speculation can be ignored for the time being. Confusion increases: The last communication report from the MH-370 was recorded when the plane reached the boundary between Malaysian and Vietnamese airspace. The Malaysian air control announced the transfer of control to the Ho Chi Minh City control room and the pilots wished good night. The conversation also suggests that the flight was in its normal route with no problems before it went missing. Out of all the unsuccessful attempts and desperate search operations from more than 10 nations, the most amicable option seems to be patience. Unless the black box of the flight which has most probably crashed is found, the actual incident cannot be stated. For those whose near and dear ones went missing, Travel and Tour World offers sincere condolences.
