100th Clash This year’s game is special in that it is the 100th meeting over the years, and we really do want to turn the tide and make this a Claret’s win. We certainly came very near last season and really did deserve to win at Ewood. Let us remember however that it is a game and we do not want a mindless minority from either side spoiling the day. This small number of people are not really fans at all! Wouldn’t it be good to see the Police accept the case that all these so called ‘bubble match’ provisions were no longer needed for these two old rivals? Yes we can have an intense spirit of rivalry but we do not need the vi olence or hooligan behaviour do we? So let us make it a day to remember both for the result on the pitch and an afternoon with no stupid incidents allowed to mar the occasion. Certainly we have got off to a good start to the season – hopefully it will continue. It was also good to get pass the transfer window without losing any of our key players. I have to confess I am not one of those who favours these so called windows – we managed for many years without them! We also welcome Michael Kightly to Turf Moor on loan for the season. So let us continue to give Sean Dyche and all our squad our 100% rousing backing. . UP THE CLARETS
