105.9 SEASIDE-FM News - Police Investigating Break and Enter. The HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section is investigating a break and enter that occurred last night in Dartmouth. At 9:20 p.m., officers responded to a residential break and enter in the 0-100 block of Mount Edward Road. A 25-year-old woman heard a knock at her front door, made her way through the house and observed a man standing in her kitchen holding her purse. She took refuge in a bedroom with her ten-month-old baby and called 9-1-1. The suspect fled through the rear of the residence and witnesses subsequently heard tires squealing from the area of Belle Vista Drive and Stephen Cross Drive but could not provide a description of a vehicle or a direction of travel. The male suspect is described as approximately 5’9”, with a thin build, wearing blue jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt with the hood up. Halifax Regional Police reminds citizens to ensure your doors and windows are secure and that you activate your alarm when you go out or even when you are sleeping.
