108636 – Graduate Environmental Engineer Toyota Motor Europe - Zaventem Team/division description Environmental Engineering is part of Production Engineering Department, coordinating and supporting various activities on environment across European Manufacturing Companies. We develop and lead pan-EU planning strategy for environmental activities in order to achieve zero incidents, including non-compliance and complaints of all environment related matters for our 9 European Manufacturing Plants. Your responsibilities • You are responsible for co-ordinating and supporting our environmental activities across our manufacturing plants in Europe. • You support the implementation & maintenance of Environmental Management Systems/ISO14001 at our manufacturing plants. • You take the responsibility related to KPI monitoring and development. • You provide support for resolving technical issues or concerns. • You are able to interpret European environmental legislation and provide technical input into the development of future European Directives. • You provide hands-on support to identify and benchmark areas of good environmental practice from both internal & external sources. • You support strategic environmental planning by developing strategies and investment plans to keep one step ahead of future legislation. • You investigate how to achieve Toyota’s long term aim of zero emissions from our manufacturing operations through the innovative use of pilot projects & activities. • You support Toyota’s Sustainable Plant activities. Your profile • You have a first degree in a science or engineering discipline (for example chemical engineering, environmental engineering/science). • A postgraduate qualification, higher degree and passion in a related subject would be beneficial. • At least 2 years of experience in environmental management/engineering role within a manufacturing company (such as automotive, chemical, pharmaceutical, food etc) is required for Engineer. • You must be fluent in both written & spoken English (fluency in one or more of the following languages would be advantageous - French, Polish, Czech, Turkish, Russian or Japanese). • You have excellent interpersonal skills & are a team worker. • You have strong planning skills, organisation skills and you like challenges. • You are PC literate: MS Office, Outlook and/or SharePoint would be advantageous • You hold a valid passport & a driving licence is desirable.
