10AM NEWS UPDATE WITH Orange With the national id exercise underway nationwide, President Yoweri Museveni and First Lady Janet Kataha Museveni travelled back to their village in Rwakitura in Kiruhuura district to register for ids. The President launched the mandatory and country wide registration exercise in april this year. According to State Minister for Internal Affairs, James Baba, Ugandans are required to present a birth certificate, baptism certificate, passport, school identification card, school report or marriage certificate to prove their citizenship. The President has called upon all Ugandans to register. Sending ripples down the spine of the Christianity across the country, Deputy Police spokesperson Polly Namaye has warned of a planned terror attack during the Martyrs’ Day celebrations at Namugongo.
