10am. This is interesting. I have the security guy here from Ackerman to make some changes. After realizing he looked familiar, I asked, and he is the same guy who installed my front system last year. I told him I tried to get a hold of him thru Ackerman last year, multiple times, since I threw out his phone number already, but he said no one there ever told him that. Figures. His name is Jon Barth. So since he was here, I asked him. I walked him thru it, showed him the window, told him the story. This was about me finding my side bedroom window unlocked with a plastic knife over the sensor last year, weeks after we installed alarm. And I did not unlock that window. The police said that, well, maybe the security guy went and unlocked window again to check something last minute before he left and forgot to relock it. The security guy remembered some things about it. Like, he remembered speaking to my parents, who were here. He remembered us all pretty much leaving together. He said, no, he could think of no reason why he would re-unlock window last minute, after that point. He agreed with me, that if I found the window unlocked later, we did not leave it unlocked, that someone got in. I asked him, if the police had spoken to you, would you have told them you think someone got in. He said, yes. He said this system is only a deterrent. If someone is determined to get in, they will find a way to get in.
