11/11/2013, 5:53 AM Psalm 32:6 Therefore, let all the godly confess their rebellion to you while there is time, that they may not drown in the floodwaters of judgment. NLT God help us as Christians to realize we can be living in rebellion, consciously, or unconsciously, and so let us be always inspecting our feelings, attitudes, and doings, that God may receive all the glory as He remains unhindered in, and through our lives. This is even the reason we need revival, and renewing. God help us never to be complacent, or always making excuses, as then we remain at square one. That they may not drown in the floodwaters of judgment. Once again there are two things we must clarify. One is that God is not ready to destroy His people, that is the reason He sent the Savior, and Mediator of our lives, to escape the wrath to come. We are saved, we are sanctified, and clothed in the righteousness of the Messiah, the Lamb of God, and Savior of the world. Of course the world isnt saved as they have rejected Him the gift of eternal life. Secondly this is not speaking of a literal flood, but the power, and the intensity in which judgment comes. This does however merit that we think soberly, and righteously about the same, that we may be about our Fathers business through the Holy Spirit, delivering people from the wrath to come. 7 For you are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of victory. Interlude You Are My Hiding Place (Covering, secret place) The place of Gods encouragement, and inspiration. Not a place to hide, and cower, as that is a place of unbelief, and cowering. It is the place where we are released from our insecurities, and fears, as it is the place of Meeting, coming together in God to be refreshed in His faith, and in His confidence. If we then walk in the Spirit, there is a continuation, or a continuity in the same. You Protect Me From Trouble Make sure to rightly interpret this, as it does not say He will take them away. Why because if He did we would be removed from the learning process, and we also would be the worst spoiled brats you have ever seen. God will take us the longest way around if we are unwilling to learn from our troubles, then our troubles will have troubles, all the way to the one who is patiently ministering to us. I know we can think of one in particular without straining our brain, and that was the patriarch Moses. He takes us through our troubles, and protects us in the passage. Jonathan, and his sword bearer looked trouble right in the eye. As the army had come to a total standstill, and even as this had disturbed David as to Goliath, so it now disturbed Jonathan, and his armor bearer. They decided God could deliver by the many or the few, and with jagged rocks on each side, and the enemy above they went forward and beat the enemy until those who didnt perish fled. Two people replaced the fear of the army, with the awe of God. Trouble was dissipated by action, because of the honor of God, and to the honor of God. You surround me with songs of victory. How are you with Your songs of victory? A lot us fail to have an entourage of the same, as gone are the days when so many were available. The Psalms themselves are chuck full of them. Songs of victory, why not even write a few yourself, and be surprised how God will move your hand, and fill your mind with the same. Let need be the great extender of all we would think, or do, and then shall God be glorified in us, and through us. He is the Gifter, He is the Means, and the Fulfiller, glorify Him. Jude 1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, 25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and for ever. Amen.
