Jamyate ahlihades patron Gulam Mohammad Bhat almadni condemns Chatergam killings. Gulam Mohammed Bhat almadni Chairman jamyat ahlihades strongly condemns the killing of two boys and injuring two others at Chattergam, Chadoora, Budgam, who were travelling in a Maruti Car, after returning from playing a cricket match. Accordong to jamyat that killing of innocent people in the State of J&K is not a new phenomenon as it is going on for the last 23 years unabatedly under the cover of J&K Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act, 1990 and other draconian laws which law have not been withdrawn by the Indianoccupational authorities so far. It was also stated that by killing innocent people the Indian occupational forces derive pleasure and that they have no respect for the human dignity and life. It was also stated that the International Community had a role in stopping these occupational forces from killing innocent Kashmiris, but for their economic interests they have not dont so, as a result of which these ruthless Indian forces have got encouraged. Therefore bar association srinagr also condemns the arrest of Kashmiri pro-freedom leadership and other innocent people and their incarceration in jails and interrogation centres all over the state. The Bar Association feels that under International law every person has a right to speech and freedom of expression, but in violation of international covenants and agreements, the people of the state have been deprived of such right and anyone who dares to speak, is arrested and detained, which is highly reprehensible.Meanwhile in an extra ordinary meeting of the Executive Committee of the Bar Association the sad demise of the father of Showkat Ahmad Baqal, Advocate, mother of N. H. Shah, Advocate and mother-in-law of Sheikhs Mohammad Sultan, Advocate was mourned and it was prayed that Almighty Allah may rest the departed souls in heaven.
