Charter - Were supposed to get pins from Journey to Excellence last year, asked if we can still get them for the boys - Charter missing all achievements by dens, needs to be updated - 15 kids off charter, down to approx. 30 kids now - All den leaders send badges achieved to Nick II. Scouting for Food - 415.30# of food donated - Open Shelves Food Pantry wrote a letter of Thank You III. Facebook - Vote at Den Meeting to see if parents give permission for pictures on Facebook and attached to charter IV. Patches -Came in for the Covered Wagon, will pass out at Pack Meeting V. Mount Greylock - Hidden Valley Campground - had a great time with Boy Scouts -2.8 mile walk Saturday and then 7 mile hike to the Summit of Mount Greylock VI. Speer Family - How will we help them out? Vote to pay for Joseph’s Scouting until out of Cub Scouts - vote passed Maybe plant a tree in the spring dedicated in his father’s name VII. Scout Training - needs to be done VIII. Bank Balances - Wreath close to $2000 in profits - T Shirts all paid for - Hayride money needs to be refunded - Wreaths will be delivered by Fed Ex on 12/10/13 - Prizes will be given to top sellers - Museum of Science - Pack should fund $35 per scout, April 4-5th, 5pm-11am $25 per scout, $55 for any other member - Another box of T Shirts so kids can wear instead of uniform IX. Charter Dues - Needed by 12/10/13 - dues $24 without magazine - $36 with magazine - Unit Liability Fee - $24 for den leaders/committee members - Insurance $1/person X. Cub Scout Klondike Derby - $6/scout - there will be a 1st, 2nd, 3rd place winner - Sled will be set up with younger and older kids together instead of by dens 1/18/14 from 8 am (registration) -3pm - already have all 3 sleds - also need a pack to run a station - First Aid/Knots - Also going to do rain gutter regatta - in April, another kit to be bought XI. Decembers Pack Meeting - 12/6/13 - Bears hosting - Webelos I snacks - healthy snacks (grinch on a stick) - Wolves/Tigers to do a skit - $5 gift swap - Need a Santa - and Bears for skit/song for a back up - sing pass along song for obtaining gift XII. Popcorn Sales - made $151.56 from 3 kids selling popcorn. - will present Michael Nye with prize at pack meeting XIII. Pack Meeting Assignments Nick to follow up on this - Meeting Themes December meeting Theme 12/6/13 - Christmas party, gift exchange $5 January meeting Theme 1/3/14 - Paracord from Army/Navy store, go bananas February meeting theme 2/7/14 - Blue and Gold Banquet - ? Change of venue at the Berkley Congregational Church - skits and songs for each den - potluck dinner, split up into apps, main course, dessert Council Arrow of Light is 3/5/14 - at Bishop Feehan High School, 7 Holcott Dr, Attleboro, $17 fee for registration and medalion and must be received at Council by 2/20/14. Starts at 7:30 pm, check in begins at 7pm March meeting, 3/7/14 - will be Pinewood Derby Theme - tips, tricks, as well as slide show of all activities, cross over of scouts that night April meeting - tentatively Museum of Science overnight 5pm-11am May meeting 5/2/14 June meeting 6/6/14 Belt Loop Bonanza 5/31/14 XIII. New Policies - any parent that wants to help with pack events and children need to take the Youth Protection Training online and print out certificate and give to Pack. Will not cost anything.
