11. THE LOVE SPELL Alice went into a poor neighbourhood and she was feeling irritable as is expected from someone who was of a higher social and financial status. She couldnt bear the nauseating smell of the open sewers which seemed to flow freely like streams sll throughout the area. Alice covered her nose with her hankerchief which she pulled out of her purse, which had so much intricate designs and looked like it could feed plenty of hungry mouths in this slum neighbourhood. But she badly wanted something, and this want was the drive that helped her cope the stench as she made through the neighbourhood and finally into a house after much searching. It was an old thatch house painted black with smoke. A tall young man stood in front of the small door and Alice pulled off her big sunglasses from her face and asked him if his mother was present in the house. The young man scanned her up and down and seemed a little surprised that someone so well dressed in such good clothing would visit them. The young man nodded and led her into the hut; and she saw in a corner an older woman who was sipping tea in her small wooden chair. Alice approached her and said: Is it true that there are people who can do some kind of magic around this place? The older lady looked a little hesitant to say anything because she knew things like that were mostly taboo and practitioners were ostracised when caught. Maybe I have heard a few such stories, she said, being elusive. Maybe this will help you remember better, Alice said, pulling out a huge wad of cash from her purse. The young man who had been a spectator all this time exchanged stares with her mother and finally the woman said: Tell me more. Alice said that she wanted a boy to fall in love with her; but her friend had taken him as her own; and that she needed a love charm for that. The lady led her into a room and placed her in the middle of the floor and drew symbols all around her, all the while chanting incantations and lighted scented candles. The lady was dressed in a black attire, and covered in ash all over her body, and blood of sacrificed animals; which made her look horrifying, with wild tangled hair. The lady danced around her beating drums and shouting spells and after a few hours, the charm was complete. The lady handed her a string necklace with a piece of colourful rock hanging from its end. Alice took it and hanged it around her neck. She felt strangely different. Three months later; Alice was in her home and preparing tea to serve her husband and went out her balcony. She served him tea. Also on the balcony was Alices mother-in-law. It was no other than the old lady. She had reversed the love charms effect and use it on her own son and now Alice was stuck in this spell, and had no other choice but to marry him; and the old lady used the love charm to rob her of her wealth. Poor Alice; she should have known better than to trust a witch. Like My Page Inside The Mind Of The Naga Stitchface Drummer Or Join My Group MindOfVizo For The Rest Of The Chapters. :) ^_^
