11 years ago today my daughter Amber Christine was 16 years old and was in a head on collision. She was taken to Tupelo where they removed her spleen and repaired 2 lacerations in her liver. Then she was airlifted to the Med in Memphis. During surgery to repair her femur that was fractured in 2 places and both ankles that were crushed she had a pulmonary embolism that resulted in her having to have a tracheostomy and put on a ventilator. She developed ARDS and remained on the ventilator for 3 and 1/2 months. She had several months of therapy to learn how to feed herself, dress herself and walk again. By the Grace of God she has overcome alot. She has traveled a long hard road and faced many struggles. Im very proud of the woman and mother she is today. Im blessed to be her mother. So Amber Christine when people make fun of your scars and the limp you walk with just remember You are a miracle and GOD saw fit to save you in more ways than one. I love you!
