114-14 30.06.2014: 0500 LT: Posn: 01:07N – 103:30E, 5nm East of Karimun Kecil Island, Indonesia. Six armed robbers boarded a LPG tanker underway. They entered into the engine room and took hostage an engine room crew, tied his hands and stole engine spares. While escaping the robbers released the crew who then raised the alarm. Crew mustered and the vessel was searched thoroughly for any pirates.
