#11461 Dear colleagues and friends of Mohd Hafiz Kassim (Bong) Early Wednesday morning, our dear colleague Hafiz (fondly known as Bong) collapsed as he arrived at the ground floor of Wisma Subang Jaya, Taylor’s College Subang Jaya. Our security guards, Azeb and moments later, Principal Murali and Selva immediately went to help. I salute our colleagues who, there and then, decided that Hafiz should be rushed to Subang Jaya Medical Centre (SJMC) in one of their cars without any further delay. Hafiz has been in ICU at SJMC for the last two days and the doctors and nurses are continuing to monitor his condition. He remains unconscious practically all of the time thus far. I am writing to ask for your prayers for his speedy recovery, that the Almighty’s sovereign purpose for his life would be acknowledged. Hafiz comes from a humble background. The hospital bill has been escalating and had passed the RM24,000 mark at 5pm today and will definitely surpass the maximum limit of his Taylor’s College hospitalization insurance coverage before the end of today. While the family’s plan is to have him transferred to a public hospital, the doctor would not allow this at the moment as his condition is still critical. As such, I am appealing to you for your support in giving towards the cost of his hospital expenses. I believe that together, we can each do something meaningful for Hafiz. With more than 400 staff in Taylor’s College alone, a contribution of RM50.00 each would help us achieve a collection of RM20,000. Obviously, we would welcome contributions of a higher amount. I would also like to appeal to you to forward this email to friends of Hafiz who are not at Taylor’s College. Taylor’s College will also be matching staff contribution ringgit for ringgit. For all of u that dont know Mr Hafiz, he is a faculty of SDC. He is one of the nicest person I know in taylors and he is the one that makes clubs and their respective events happen. Even small contributions go a long way, because we have almost close to 600 students in CAL alone. If everyone donates RM10, we can easily help cut a quarter of his medical fees. Let us not lose another comrad. Its is now time for use taylorians to settle of differences and unite as one and help Mr Hafiz.
