12/22/14 The Victorious Life Word For Today Your BIBLE: Dont Leave Home Without It! My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them. And health to all their flesh Proverbs 4:20-22 Towards the end of every American Express commercial, we hear the slogan, The American Express Card, Dont Leave Home Without It. And also at the end of every VISA Card commercial we hear the slogan, VISA, Is Everywhere You Want To Be. Well, those are pretty good slogans to remind us, the consumer, not to leave home without our credit cards, because they are needed wherever we want to be! So as I was playing with these slogans in my mind, I got to thinking about how it is more so important that we dont forget our BIBLES at home. So if I was to create a commercial, my slogan would be,Your BIBLE, Gods Words Holy Word, Dont Leave Home Without it, For You Will Need It Any Where You Find Yourselves To Be. Question? Where at this very moment, right this very second, as you are reading this, is your BIBLE? Is it with you, or near you to grab hold of if you need it, or did you leave it at home? Now, I realize in this 21st Century, when we say BIBLE today, we are no longer just talking about the paperback, leather, or pleather bond, with pages BIBLE. For now the BIBLE is on your IPhone, IPad, and any other portable devices out there. So, these items would be included in my question, where is your BIBLE? My next question would be; If you know where your BIBLE is, can you get a hold of it at a moments notice, and how often do you use it or read it? As Christians, reading the BIBLE is something we all should be doing everyday, and if not everyday, then as often as we can that would equate to, or be considered as reading it on a regular basis. For it is our life line that gives us instructions on how not to destroy ourselves and how to live the victorious life through Jesus Christ, serving and living for the LORD as we do! Family and friends, just as the American Express and VISA Credit cards, are important not to leave home without, it is even more so, and much more important that we dont leave home without our BIBLES! For the BIBLE, is our Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth, instruction manual, it is our very life line. It is our instruction manual, and by constantly reading it, we are able to obtain salvation, our healing, and learn how to live the victorious life here on earth. We also learn how to have joy unspeakable and full of glory. Through reading our Bibles, we can obtain peace and comfort. We are strengthened, uplifted, and encouraged, all through out our day, as we engage in this evil and hellish world, and all of the craziest in it, that surrounds us. And it reminds us who we are, and who we belong to, and who is leading and guiding our lives. The BIBLE, when we are faced with challenges, will keep us encouraged, to walk by faith and not by sight! 2 Corinthians 5:7. It will help us call those things that be not as though they were, when what you are facing, says other wise. Romans 4:17. It will keep you in our right minds. And no matter what, it will help us to keep trusting the LORD as we go, to see what the end is going to be! It will empower us to overcome and accomplish, whatever challenges we face on a daily basis. Everyday, we are to hide Gods Word in our hearts, so that we might not sin against Him. Psalms 119:11. And to allow it to be a lamp onto our feet and a light unto our path. Psalm 119:105 The BIBLE, Gods Holy Word, our Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth instruction manual.
