[12:38, 22/10/2014] Fr Rocky: YANA SONG I want to grow like the tallest tree (Yana, Yana, Yana) I want to dance and be fully free (Yana Yana, Yana) Together with my family Together with you and me. Chorus: A move to to the right Close to my sight I dance with my might Blaze like the light Your own classmate Who loves to skate Thats me, Yana. I want to fly to the furthest sea (Yana, Yana, Yana) I want to taste like the sweetest tea (Yana, Yana, Yana) Together well live in unity Together well dance with glee. I want to twirl like a little girl (Yana, Yana, Yana) I want to shine like the brightest pearl. (Yana, Yana, Yana) Together lets join hands and pray. Together lets dance and play. (Song inspired by Yana Leonard. With love Fr Roque Rodrigues, SFX, Nagpur, 6th October 2014) [12:38, 22/10/2014] Fr Rocky: YANA SONG captures the spirit of the 11 year old girl Yana Leonard who wished to excel in every possible field. In her poem she mentions her desire to be like a bird on the topmost branch of a tree. So there is reference to the bird and the tree in Yana Song. Even though she belonged to her family of Melvyn and Ruvina Leonard, she was able to connect with many people - a larger family during her illness and after. She was pretty good at dancing, skating, cooking. She was a joy to be with. We wish her fame travels across the seven seas, uniting all races and cultures, shining like the brightest pearl and retaining our Indian sweetness and flavour (tea). The greatest heritage she has left behind is her deep sense of divinity, her love for God. She has gifted many the gift of prayer and a reason to live for something noble and great. We love you Yana.
