12 hour days as a real live movie actor, changing clothes in the corner of a bar in Harlem while the steady cam frames the shot and the grips work together to resolve lighting challenges, lots of sandwiches and bottled water, passing time as a student of human behavior and body language, realizing a life long dream of working on camera with my brother Scott, once again scouring Michael Caines book Acting in Film for insider pro tips, asking myself What Would Meryl Do?, haunted by how despair and loneliness could succeed in snuffing out such a brilliant bright light as our Robin, who brought joy to so many people for so long, watching Lewis Blacks stand up show on Netflix and drinking coffee for breakfast as a surefire pick me up, contemplating how awesome Netflix is for bringing us several high quality new shows, dreams of doing my own stand up comedy, making instant friends with my co-stars, lining up my left eye with the opposite left eye so I cheat to the camera, remaining cool as a cucumber as often as possible, being early for everything and avoiding using the time to look at my phone, remembering life before fb and the internet and deciding it was wonderful and connected, folding towels, texting I love you.
