12 videos of Christmas, Day 10: Silent Night (A Cappella) I love a cappella music- singing without any instruments and in many cases, reproducing the sounds of instruments with the human voice. I sang in several a cappella groups throughout high school and college. There is something about the simplicity, harmony, and reducing a song down into its purest essence that Ive always loved. And for some reason, Im doubly fond of a cappella Christmas music. Looking at my collection of a cappella albums, almost half are Christmas based. A cappella groups and, of course, The Muppets, make up 90% of my familys Christmas playlist. This video, by Pentatonix, is a terrific example of the best qualities that a cappella music has to offer. There are countless others that I could have chosen as well. #ShareTheGift
