12 year ago, I have my first grandson. I am lucky that my son and daughter-in-law granded me the privillege to be a particpated granny. The fun is enormous, and the bond is tight. Looking back at my parenting style, I am a particapate parent . When my sons learn any sports I took every chance to play along. Beside learning lots of new thing, parenting was ever so easy. My attudite of particapating parent is opposit to as supervising parent. The fun and joyous are anti-stress = anti-ageing = anti-depression=strenghten immune system. Good for bothe kids and parents physically and mentally. My opinion,parenting is more like Stewardship then leadership. When parents let go of the need to contral the kids,and take parts to learn new spots have fun/goofy with them, they will do so much better.
