12 years ago today, I had major surgery removing 25 feet of bowel, and the acquisition of an ileostomy which I had for five years...Every May 2nd, I remember the hell that I went through on that day. Today, I am happy and very grateful to say, I am out of a wheelchair, off canes, and am living a productive, amazing life. I still have challenges with this horrid disease, but can live my life. I hope this provides a little inspiration to those of you who are struggling and are uncertain in terms of their future. Crohns kicks butt, but we are stronger....
