BSF convoy attacked in Pampore, Commandant among 7 injured Srinagar: Seven Border Security Force (BSF) personnel including Assistant Commandant were injured when militants attacked BSF convoy on Srinagar- Jammu National Highway near Pampore area in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district late Monday evening. A senior BSF official said that the BSF convey was returned back from Chandanwari in Pahalgam towards Pantha Chowk (Srinagar) camp after completion of Shri Amarnath Yatra duty. “On reaching near road junction in Pampore, militants opened heavy fire on a bus, part of convoy from both sides of road taking advantage of high ground at around 09:41 pm”. In the attack, seven BSF men including Assistant Commandant received injuries, the official said.
