12 years ago today I was sleeping in the laundry room at slugger field after the RiverBats game 1 victory over the Scranton Red Barons in the international league playoffs, the nite before. A fellow co worker, mark shepherd, woke me up around 10am and told me the WTC had collapsed. Still confused I went to the clubhouse and turned on the TV and was glued for 48 hours with all the players and coaches. Soon after the rest of the playoff series was cancelled. Will never forget that day and the way it affected everyone. Especially the players and coaches who had family and friends in the NYC area that day.
