12 years ago today I woke up to one of the worst snowstorms in years! At 5am in the morning I woke up, alone with 6 sleeping kids and realized I was in labor. I shouldnt have been surprised since the 25th WAS my due date but I hadnt planned on our little girl arriving quite yet, I had things to do and actually a meeting I had to attend so I was actually planning on baby girl arriving in about a week and half. To make matters worse Joakim was out of town on work so this wasnt a good day for me. Well even unborn our little Julia had a mind of her own and did what she wanted when she wanted. Ok so whats a mom in labor to do? I got myself ready, woke up the Johanna and Sophie to let them know what was going on and instructions on how to look after baby Eric and baby Patric and the called for a taxi. I shouldnt have thought getting a taxi would be easy because it wasnt! The taxi operator informed me that because of the storm there were no available taxis. I explained the situation but she just couldnt help. Oh my goodness what was I going to do??? Well about 15 minutes later I got a call. It was the taxi operator from heaven. She had called an off duty cab driver who lived close by. He was sound asleep when she called but jumped out of bed and into his car. 10 minutes after that I was on my way to the hospital. Because of the storm it might have been faster to walk but eventually we made to the hospital and not many minutes later, Im talking like 10 minutes after getting to the hospital baby Julia was in my arms. We lovingly call Jules our drama queen and I guess it started at birth 😊 Happy birthday sweet little Julia 💖💖💖next year youll be a teen but until then enjoy being 12! Love you pumpkin 💖💖💖
