12 years anniversary. It was 12 years ago when exactly I set my foot in Canadian soil. I had landed at Pearson international airport in the Canada largest city, Toronto on march 12, 2002. It was like dream come true to come to my home dream after being a refugee in Dadab refugee camp for years. Moving to Canada was not an easy journey. Different culture, adopting a new life and different weather were an every day challenge of life. However, as time went on, every thing was under control. At same time, it was not easy when you left all your family member behind in a war toned country like Somalia where every thing was possible to occur every day. All in all, Im here in Canada for 12 years today and my native country, Somalia is still in chaos and lawlessness even I would like to go back home and contribute my knowledge and experience but it is still dangerous to go. Hopefully, one day we will enjoy the freedom and the democracy we are having here in Canada in homeland, Somalia.
