#1277 - I m a 1st year college student (male) and i just want to ask why is it hard for people to accept rape victims? My best friend got raped when she was 16 by her cousin.. She has been my best friend since idk when we started school together.. She used to be a very very popular girl and had a boyfriend who instantly broke up with her when he got to know about the incident. The guy who raped her somehow never got any punishment, cops ne rafa dafa kr di baat. The parents actually changed names, and eventually went to south africa.. To escape humilation. I am in constant contact with her, she called me first when the incident happened and what i found disgusting was that the guy who did it grinned like he had won some gold medal.. I punched him and what was the result? I got to spend a night behind bars .. No one evn touched her not even her mom.. I hugged her as tightly as i could and tried to console her.. No one else even budged an eye.. I mean, she is a human being right? She is supposed to be r respected equally as everybody right? Now why does she have to live with a scar in her past? I have always loved her and always will, never mentioned it to her but come-on! -_- why turn your back over someone who faced something so traumatic .. And the culprit got away coz he was family? Pretty bullshit! -_- admin says - ironically we live in a land where eve teasers r cool n the victims are looked down upon. its just sad how even the parents refuse to accept their daughters.. and its just overwhelmingly pathetic how the rapist got away with it just like tht and u had to spend a night in jail :/ and hes her bloody cousin!!! cmon! the idiot parents, forget about supporting their daughter, cant even take proper action against the rapist...
